Safety lessons for kids
Safety Town has 9 lessons that suit every age. Children practise at their own pace with friendly pictures and read-aloud questions. Private details like phone numbers and addresses are never saved.
When do I call 911?
911 is for emergencies: when someone is badly hurt, very sick, in danger, or there is a fire. In Canada and the USA, the number is 911.
Safe adults and tricky people
A safe adult is a grown-up your family trusts. A tricky person is anyone who asks a kid for help, to keep a secret, or to go somewhere without asking your grown-up.
If I get lost
If you get lost, stop and stay where you are, then look for a safe helper.
Online safety
Keep private information private online, and always tell a grown-up if something online feels wrong.
Fire safety
If there is a fire: get out, stay out, and call 911 from outside.
Medicine and cleaning products
Medicine and cleaning products can look like candy or drinks, but they can make you very sick.
Road and bike safety
Cars are big and fast. Cross with a grown-up, at crosswalks, after looking both ways.
Water safety
Water is fun, but it can be dangerous. Always have a grown-up watching.
Weather safety
Dress for the weather and know what to do in a storm.
